Think you were lazy in 2020? Wait until 2022 comes around.
These were my goals listed below. Let’s take a look.
- Average 50,000 Steps / Week
- 5 x 1 Week Sober
- Increase subscription business to $1,000 MRR
- Read Atleast 5 Books
- Reguarly Go Back to the Gym
- Sell Where’s MH370
- Finish & Launch Wacky Waving Man
Average 50,000 Steps / Week
I’ve come to accept that I wont hit this goal. Unless I knock off work early and go crazy on weekends I’m never going to this. Even when I do 3 laps around Sydney Park in a weekday evening I’m only going to get to 7,000 steps. That’s an hour out of my day. I’m not disappointed, I’m glad it’s out of my reach. It means I’ll hit it eventually out of sheer competitiveness.
5 x 1 Week Sober
Since February I’ve changed how I measure this. It’s now being sober throughout the entire week and only allowing myself to have drinks 1 day out of the week. Its worked out well so far and helped with my other goals.
Increase Upstart Host to $1,000 MRR
Started the year at $528.71/month. February was sitting at $682.72/month. As of April 6th, it’s at $785.86. It will hit $1,000 by the end of the year.
Read Atleast 5 Books
I’ve finished 4 thus far:
- The Man in the High Castle
- The War of the Worlds
- Rita Hayworth & Shawshank Redemption
- The Accidental Billionaires
Currently reading The Martian with my partner.
Regularly Go Back to the Gym
Again, this has sort of re-prioritized. I’m counting calories, increasing my cardio and have plans for both tennis + boxing. My gym membership is the backup.
Sell Where’s MH370
The buyer for this fucking project is harder to find than the goddamn plane.
Finish & Launch Wacky Waving Man
I’ve lost faith in this project and no longer wish to proceed with it. I’ll pay for the prototype for my desk, but after that I want to move on. I should have launched 5 years ago before those cunts stole the idea.
I’m happy with where I am. Bring on May.
